History of Wing’s Unlimited
Pacific Aerial Tow Hooks is a new company with over 40 years of history! Our beginning goes back to the creation of Wings Unlimited in 1974 by wife and husband team Pat Hockett and Hugh Forrest. They located their business at the Cedar Airpark in Olathe, Kansas, home to a beautiful 2440 foot grass runway. Pat was a flight instructor while Hugh flew in the agricultural aviation industry. They decided to add banner towing to their business in 1979 and, with the help of their son, Nathan, and many friends and family, they flew for over 24 years until regulations no longer allowed flights over major sporting events. In 2008, the opportunity to purchase the tow hook release rights from McFarlane Aviation became available. Pat and Hugh saw that their extensive background in banner towing would be a perfect fit for the tow hook business so they took it under their wing.
Jump ahead to 2017 and Oregon-based Fliegen Works was looking for a venture to expand its manufacturing arm and came across Wings Unlimited. With Fliegen Works’ experience in producing high quality aircraft parts, we saw a perfect match with the industry-favorite tow hooks. Today, Pacific Aerial Tow Hooks is selling products to assist the aviation community with replacements for the aging Schweizer parts.
At Pacific Aerial Tow Hooks, our Mission is to:
- Produce the highest quality tow hook parts at realistic prices.
- Listen to the needs of general aviation and provide innovative solutions.
- Serve our customers efficiently and effectively while exceeding their expectations.
- Strive to care for the safety and needs of our customers, employees, community, and environment.
